I started my martial arts training in the mid 1990’s doing Wado Ryu karate. From this I looked into another art to work alongside my karate. I went to the Huddersfield dojo and met Sensei Riley one Thursday evening. I was so impressed with what I watched. The following week I joined. My aikido training started in 1993. I was successful in being promoted to shodan in 1997 and have progressed to godan. I have been fortunate to travel overseas on many occasions as Riley Shihan’s uke, including to Singapore, Belgium and Greece, as well as on domestic courses and seminars.
